Curious Fox Labs (formerly DaedaLabs) worked with an election monitoring organization to create several Virtual Reality scenarios to help prepare their observers for Election Day. Election Day observation evaluates the key processes: the opening of the polling station, the voting, the closing of the station, and the counting of the votes. The observers use a mobile phone, headphones and Google Cardboard Viewers to play through the polling station environment. There are training scenarios for each of the four processes.
After going through the training part, the observers then experience different scenarios to test their skills and see whether they spot the irregularities. The observers then discussed the experience with their trainers.
